School Parliament Investiture Ceremony & Club Inauguration

The School Parliament Oath-Taking Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26, along with the inauguration of student clubs, was held on July 3 at the Kurunji Venkataramana Gowda Community Hall, Sullia, by KVG International Public School. On the occasion, the School Director, Dr. Renuka Prasad K.V., and Dr. Jyothi R. Prasad, Secretary, AOLE Committee ‘B’ Division, conveyed their best wishes.

The chief guest for the programme was Mr. Taranath, ASI of Sullia. The occasion was also graced by Mr. Bhavani Shankar Adthale, Administrator of the KVG AOLE Committee ‘B’ Division; Mr. Bala Gopal Serkaje, a member of the KVG IPS Management Committee; and Mr. Santosh Kuttamutte. They were warmly welcomed by the School Principal, Mr. Arun Kumar, and the Vice-Principal, Ms. Shilpa Biddappa.

The ceremony began with a prayer by the students, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The arrival of student leaders in a ceremonial march added grandeur and dignity to the occasion.

The newly elected members of the School Parliament were administered the oath of office. Hari S. was sworn in as School Leader, with Mohak K. as Deputy Leader, while Skanda Diya Kallaje assumed office as School Leader (Girl) and Pratiksha as Deputy Leader. Sona Narkoodu and Nidhi P.H. took charge as Cultural Minister and Deputy Cultural Minister respectively. Manvita C.H. and Nia Shetty were sworn in as Education Minister and Deputy Education Minister, while Alisba Sara and Manvi A.Y. assumed responsibilities as Discipline Minister and Deputy Discipline Minister. Aayishath Ummal Fida and Kshithi N. Muroor were entrusted with the roles of Health and Hygiene Minister and Deputy Minister, and Aayisha Nashwa and Viksith A.S. took charge as Sports Minister and Deputy Sports Minister. The cabinet leaders and house leaders were honoured with badges by the dignitaries.

The oath was administered by the School Principal, Mr. Arun Kumar, who urged the student leaders to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication for the overall development of the school. Speaking on behalf of the student leaders, Hari S. and Skanda Diya Kallaje assured the gathering of their commitment to serve responsibly and uphold the values of the institution.

Addressing the gathering, ASI Taranath advised students to share their problems openly with parents or teachers instead of suppressing them. He emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules, excelling in both academics and co-curricular activities, limiting mobile phone usage, and working consistently towards achieving their goals to bring pride to the KVG Educational Institutions.

Bhavani Shankar Adthale encouraged students to pursue higher education and contribute meaningfully to the nation. He appreciated the school’s initiative in organizing the programme to instill awareness about law, leadership, and responsibility among students. Santosh Kuttamutte motivated students by highlighting the importance of dreams in achieving goals and urged them to maintain cordial relationships and serve as role models.

In his presidential address, Principal Arun Kumar emphasized that leadership opportunities help inculcate responsibility and discipline among students. He reminded the student leaders that leadership is not merely about holding positions but about performing duties with integrity and commitment.

The programme was compered by Grade 10 students Shraddha Pai and Seema Ayesha. Shamya welcomed the gathering, the introduction of guests was presented by Spandana, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mohak.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Yashodha Ramachandra, Principal of KVG Amarajyothi College; Dinesh Madthil, Principal of KVG ITI College; Madhav B.T. from KVG Dental College; management members Prasanna Kallaje, Padmanabha, Dayananda Atluru, and Vasantha; along with parents, students, and the teaching and non-teaching staff.

The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
